NBA Prayers for 2nd June - Whitley Bay BC (Tyneside)

2nd June 2013
North Shields Baptist Church (Tyneside)

We want to thank God for:
  • two baptisms so far this year
  • the continued fresh life in the children that come each Sunday
  • the increased attendance at the 'New to the UK' group

We want to pray for God's blessing and guidance on:
  • the church away-day on June 8th
  • the deacons away-day on June 22nd
  • our 'Day of Prayer' on July 6th
We also would ask for you to pray with us for God's resolution of some issues that have arisen lately in both the 'New to the UK' group and the 'Nite Bite' outreach to those on the margins. We clearly need His wisdom and understanding at this time.

NBA Prayers for 26th May - Grange Road BC, Darlington

26th May 2013
Grange Road Baptist Church (Darlington)

A year into an interregnum, give thanks for:the much valued support throughout from the NBA: from John Claydon as Team Leader, from John again and from Ray Richardson leading worship on a number of occasions, from John Singleton as our first Moderator and from the many, many churches who have expressed their loving concern for us;Rodney Breckon as our Moderator, but more like a Minister, instilling a sense of expectancy, hope and purpose. He is such a wonderful guy and we love him!those people who have started worshipping with us regularly during the past year.

Please pray:for God's continuing mission for us with the homeless and others at the fringes of our local, Darlington community of people;that our soon to be launched website will be an effective mission tool;that the autumn Alpha or Purpose Driven Life Course (we haven't decided which yet), aimed primarily at our existing congregation, will bring us all closer to Christ.

Moderator: Rev Rodney Breckon

NBA Prayers for Pentecost - Easington Lane IMC + Youth Ministry

Pentecost (19th May 2013)
Easington Lane Independent Methodist Church (Houghton-le-Spring)

Thanks for:
Answered prayer for one of our ministers, Syd Grey. Syd suffered a heart attack in January and also had problems with his kidneys. He has had stents put in his heart and is now on dialysis 3 days a week. But he is recovering and getting stronger and able to attend church services.

Pray for:Two new ventures we are starting:A midweek Friendship Group – an informal group meeting in the hall, to talk over a cup of tea and encourage people who don't normally attend the church to come along and enjoy the fellowship.A Parents and Toddlers Group - pray that this may encourage parents to bring their children into the church and, hopefully, reach them for the Lord.

Youth Ministry in the NBA
Churches would continue to see the responsibility we have in investing in the lives of young people.
Churches would see a strengthening of young people's commitment in their relationship with God.Those committed to delivering youth work can be resourced, rested and grow in their relationship with God themselves, so they can empower and encourage young people to fall in love with Jesus.
