· A fresh move of the Holy Spirit's life and power – including the recent baptisms of two young people.
· An increasing sense of being one family in our huge diversity.
· The Lord's leading into our current season of '40 Days Of Rest'.
Please pray for –
· The integration of new people into the Church.
· The Lord's provision of people and power for our Sunday children's ministry.
· The homeless and poor who come our way and for us as we give care and show mercy to them.

Thanks for God's help and provision during a difficult start to the year with many significant challenges in the life of the church, families and individuals. Prayer that we see God at work in relationships, many health matters and the church's life and witness.
Thanks for good numbers attending Parent and Toddler group on Friday mornings. Prayer for meaningful relationship to be established.
Thanks for the faithfulness of members, the encouragement of new friends worshipping with us and good relationships with local schools. Prayer as we seek God's will for the future regarding leadership, outreach and face practical challenges associated with the building.

NBA Prayers for Enon BC (Sunderland)

Give thanks for:The appointment of a new minister after only a year of not having one3 wonderful baptisms on Easter SundayA group of Iranians who meet every week for Bible Study and who are growing in their faithA celebration weekend for the 50th anniversary of our current building, with special events on 15th and 16th June.

Please pray for:Our new minister, Simon, and his family as they prepare for the move north. This will be Simon's first full pastorate. Pray that we as a church would support him and we will all move forward togetherMembers of our congregation who are battling serious illness, for healing and for peace for them and their familiesOur young people as they sit exams and some plan to head off to University in the autumnTwo of our young people are going to Kenya for the summer as part of a volunteer project. 

Please pray for their time away, for health and safety and for the people they will come into contact with during their time thereNader, as he gives up his time and energy to teach the Iranian guys. For strength for him and his family and for the guys as they continue to grow in their faithGrowing relationships with the community around our church and the various groups that use our church building.

Social media for churches and church leaders


Baptist social media expert Steve Fogg from Australia will be running a social media for churches and church leader’s seminar in Sunderland on June 8th.

Run in association with the Northern Baptist Association the seminar is a must attend day if you want to learn how your church can leverage social media as an highly effective communication channel to engage and reach out to your community

Steve has been in the creative and communications industry for over 20 years and heads up communications at Crossway Baptist Church, the largest Baptist church in Australia.

There will be practical tips and sessions for the novice and intermediate. If your church has never used social media and wants to learn this seminar is a great place to start. There will be also practical tips for church leaders on how you can also use social media to get your message out more effectively.
