NBA Prayer Relay for 1st May - Whitley Bay BC

The NBA Prayer Baton is with us during the week beginning Saturday 30 April when we will be holding a 'Praying Community' Breakfast.  On Sunday 1 May the Rev Dr John Claydon is with us and then from Tuesday to Friday (inclusive) the Church will  be open for prayer every morning from 7.00am – 12 noon, and then in the evenings from 7.00-9.00pm when we shall be taking the opportunity to pray blessing over the homes and businesses in the streets around the church.  Please pray for protection over and encouragement during a series of events being arranged for the week.

The Work with Young People (all those up to 18) is very special to us and brings many blessings.  Please pray for the young people, but especially for the leaders and helpers whose hard work and faithfulness is the bedrock of this work.  Pray for guidance and stamina for those currently preparing for the Summer Holiday Club in August.  Remember also Laura Spanswick, our part-time Team Leader for Children & Young People who is currently in a phased return to work after an extensive period of treatment following surgery for breast cancer.

Outreach in Whitley Bay and area.  We continue to seek God's guidance as we build bridges into the local community and develop a strategy which holds a proper balance of sowing, reaping and keeping people for the Kingdom.  As we approach Pentecost we pray again for the power of the Holy Spirit to continually renew our passion to see the love and grace of the Gospel transform lives with forgiveness and purpose.

NBA Prayer Relay for Sunday 17th April - Grange Road BC (Darlington)

We praise God for the growth of GRBC, both spiritually and numerically and for the sacrificial giving which enabled the worship area to be refurbished in 2015

Please pray for:

·         Memory Lane Teas - a series of outreach events for older people, making use of our new, multi‑purpose worship area

·         Pathways - GRBC has a long history of demonstrating God's love through the work of "The Basement', offering soup, a chat and, most importantly, acceptance. Starting this past week, Pathways is available to those people using The Basement who wish to learn more about Christianity

·         Faith Pictures - a six session course designed by the Church Army and delivered by our LifeGroups, starting this coming week, to equip the church for sharing faith in a simple, natural way

·         the grace and Spirit's power so that GRBC will bring the Good News of Christ to the people of Darlington, welcome new believers and transform lives

NBA Prayer Relay for the week from 10th April - Rowley BC

Please pray for:

  • Rev Paul Revill's ministry to us today (morning and evening!) and the possibility of planning a mission weekend sometime in the near future.
  • Our recharge meeting in Castleside Village Hall on Sunday 17th April 6pm with the KOGS (Kids of God), worship band and singers - who lead a lively meeting. On this occasion Rev Garry Collier will give an interactive address. Recharge is held 5 or 6 times a year. We have not been able to attract the youth we had hoped for, but there is growing support from the local community and beyond and the local churches are represented.
  • The Castle-Siders (Messy Church) event held once a month. usually on the first Friday. The after‑school clubs in the Primary School have taken some children away in recent months. Pray especially for the help we need at the craft tables - and for parents who do help.

Give thanks for the good relationship we have with the local Methodist fellowship. They met with us on Maundy Thursday for a service of Worship and Communion, followed by a meal.
