NBA Praying Together - BMS

BMS World Day of Prayer – Sunday 31 January 2021

www.bmsworldmission.org

Please join us in prayer:

• Pray for those who suffer under the injustice of poverty. Pray that their short-term needs will be met and that the Lord will grant them dignity and freedom from poverty in the long term. Pray also that the systems that put them in poverty would be challenged by those who God empowers to do so.

• Pray that God will stop the spread of the Coronavirus around the world. Pray for all those across the world struggling under this new normal, that we will be able to lay our burdens on the Lord and know his peace.

• Pray for BMS World Mission's new strategy and vision. Pray that God would be preparing paths for all those involved in implementing this, and that this new strategy will be pivotal in carrying out God's work.

• Pray that God will lead BMS' senior management team well over the coming year. Pray that he would guide them in wisdom to make BMS the organisation he wants us to be.

• Pray for the partners, churches and organisations BMS works with on the ground. Pray that they would become self-sustaining, that BMS would partner with them in a helpful and encouraging way and that God would continue to guide and bless them.

• Pray for all those in the areas where BMS works who do not yet know Jesus. Pray that God would make himself known to them, through BMS and directly, and give them the hope only he provides.

• Pray that more and more individual supporters will come to support and pray for BMS as we journey forward together.

Ephesians 1: 15-16 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.

NBA Praying Together - 17 January 2021

We invite you to pray this week for Beacon Lough Baptist Church in Gateshead

https://www.blbc.org.uk/

Like many churches Beacon Lough has had to adapt over the last year.  It has been hard to be away from our building as much of our outreach is conducted from there.

We are Grateful to the Lord for providing us with personnel who are 'tech savvy' so that we have been able to develop an online service weekly and via the telephone so that those without the internet can access the Sunday service.  Our spiritual focus has been sharpened by the opportunities working online brings, many have been encountered, from all over, who are attending on a regular basis.  The fellowship have been great in encouraging each other via telephone calls, and when restrictions have allowed, walking with each other and doorstep visiting folks.  In addition some are shopping for others and helping out at the foodbank.  Particularly inspiring is the fact that a large percentage of our membership is over 70 proving the point that age is not a bar to service.

We are also hosting a WhatsApp group, which has been a great source for prayer fuel, and so many answers to prayer have spurred us on.  Regular prayer, fellowship and bible study meetings are also functioning well on Zoom.  A particular prayer focus is that we will remain relevant, so that when the pandemic eases we will be in a position to enable folk to pick up the threads of their lives in a new normal.

Ephesians 1: 15-16 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.

NBA Praying Together - 10 December 2021

This week, as part of our fellowship of prayer, we are asked to pray for:

Cambridge Road Baptist Church, Middlesbrough

We give thanks for God's faithfulness to us and for His provision over the last year of lockdown.  We've not done perfectly, but all things considered, we are thankful for how God has enabled us to walk through and adjust as a church to life in lockdown and to keep up a sense of community however imperfectly as times.

In this season of lockdown, we've been thinking as a leadership team about where God has been taking us as a church after the re:imagine process.  We want to leave the period of lockdown stronger than we were beforehand.  So, we ask for prayers for God's protection and wisdom, and His equipping us as we guide our church into this new phase of church life.

Ephesians 1: 15-16 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
