NBA Prayers for 1st March - Heaton BC (Newcastle upon Tyne)

The church is following a Lent programme based on knowing more of the love of God the Father. This includes Sunday teaching, Life Group study, daily devotions and a prayer space. Please pray that this results in changed lives.

The 20s and 30s ministry is growing rapidly. Give thanks for this and pray for their weekend away with the students on 6th to 8th March.

NBA Prayers for 22nd February - Oxford Road BC (Hartlepool) + NBA Mission Strategy

We thank God for recent baptisms and for the growth and development of our monthly Messy Church service.

Pray for our minister Richard Hetherington and our leadership team - and that God will raise up some additional leaders and new office holders during 2015.

Pray for the plans being made to run a 'Christianity Explored' course in the coming months, aimed at those seeking to find out more about the Christian life, and also for a 'Holiday at Home' summer event when we hope to be able reach out to those in their later years.

Minister: Rev Richard Hetherington

NBA: Extra Prayers for Whitley Lodge BC

The folk at Whitley Lodge Baptist Church have asked for prayer, concerned that there are a significant number of people in their church who are getting ill. - more than you might expect with it just being February or for an ageing congregation. Some feel a sense of being under attack.

If it is feasible for you to include Whitley Lodge in your prayers somehow this Sunday, please do so. If, given the time constraints, that is impossible, would you please do so the following Sunday?

NBA Prayers for 15th February - as we look towards Lent

Give thanks for

the many ways in which God is working in mission amongst our communities even before we realise it, for the surprises of finding God at work amongst people beyond the church and the excitement of seeing the Spirit already transforming lives and communities before we get involved.

Pray for

the NBA Mission strategy and pioneer collective launch meeting on Sunday 22nd February at Locomotion Museum in Shildon and for Chris Duffett as he speaks, that God will use this event to speak to us and call us into a more intentional missional life together.

those churches and ministers going through a time of change and of seeking fresh direction.

NBA Prayers for 8th February - Rowley BC (near Consett)

Praise and thanks
It was good to have a full church for our Carols by Candlelight Service, with members of Consett Brass Band playing for the carols. Refreshments were served following, which gave the opportunity to talk with people; some families who had never been before. Thirteen children received gifts of confectionery and fruit.
We give thanks also for those people outside of the fellowship who are willing to help in various ways, including parents of children.

Please pray for:
Our "Castle-siders" outreach, held on the first Friday each month in Castleside Scout Centre. Children come straight from school and some parents attend. We have different craft activities and, following this, a time for Bible stories - and then, finally, a cooked meal is served. The help from our Faith Mission friends is much appreciated.

"Re-charge" is the name given to a cafĂ© style worship service held in Castleside village Hall We have only held it once up to now, but we are planning more for occasional Sunday evenings. The first one went very well with the help of Rachael Ezra from the NBA and Mr Paul Harris of Wolsingham Baptist Church. It was disappointing that none of the youth who were invited came, but thirty people attended, all asking "When are you going to do it again?"

Access to the local secondary school is not possible, not even a poster, so please pray for these activities and also the Children's Club on a Tuesday evening.
