NBA Prayer Requests

We are asked to pray this week for New Silksworth Independent Methodist Church Sunderland

 

Give Thanks for:

No one in our Congregation has had COVID 19 and all members have received their two vaccinations.

The Church was able to resume meetings (with restrictions) since Easter Sunday.

The Zoom technology meant that we were able to meet every Sunday and did not miss a single Sunday through- out the lockdown.

 

Please Pray For:

We have several members who have health problems and are undergoing treatment from hospitals.

When we will be able to resume our midweek meetings.

Lifting of the restrictions to allow us to sing and worship together as normal.

We are thankful that we have been able to return to church over the last month. We have been doing online meetings like many but it is great to meet people again.

As restrictions ease, like many, we pray for wisdom and guidance on what, when and how we can restart various activities safely. This is also a time to take stock of what we were doing and an opportunity to re-assess. We value prayer for God's guidance in all this.

We feel particularly challenged about how to restart Young Church and also what the future might be for our Filling Station project. Both in terms of operating in current climate, but also sensing how best we can use the limited resources we have to best effect.

We are asked to pray this week for Spennymoor Jubilee Independent Methodist Church

Please pray for 

1 - The opening of our church - it's been a long time in darkness and helplessness. 

Hopefully we will see the light again 

2- Our ministers and leaders of the church especially for Ken and Barbara who worked so hard to clean and have everything in place when the church opens on the 20th June 

3 - That we all will be safe and protected from Covid viruses

Please Give Thanks for

1 - The Parents and Toddlers Group which started in the Church Building today

2 - Our first Sunday Service in the Church Building this Sunday

3 - The care support and encouragement of our Moderator John Claydon who has been walking closely with us as a Church

4 - For the Zoom services we have been able to upload on to You Tube during lockdown

Please Pray for

1 - The Church Fellowship as Peter Wallace Assistant Minister at Enon BC preaches with a view to the Pastorate on Sunday 20th June and the Church Meeting the following Thursday 24 June, that we might know the clear leading of the Lord.

2 - Anne who has lost her sister to a long battle with cancer

3 - Gail whose brother-in law has been told by the doctors that they can't offer any more options for treatment of his cancer

4 - Carol-Anne whose grandson aged eight has severe mental health issues and has been told that there is an eighteen week waiting list just to be seen by a specialist

We are asked to pray for South Hylton IM Church who have had a fire in their building and have sustained considerable damage to the internal fabric of the Church.Thankfully they are fully insured and the building itself seems secure but it has come as a shock to them and obviously they would value our prayers

We are asked to pray this week for 

Northern Baptist College Hub: Cranmer Hall

(Tutor) Linda Donaldson

We give thanks for an excellent group of students, each of whom has navigated online learning and studies and church leadership over this past year and have done so very successfully. We are grateful for technology that has enabled our learning but also enabled us to continue to meet weekly in our Discipleship Group.

Please pray for our current students, for rest and recuperation over the summer but also for a deepening sense of God's call midst the sometimes overwhelming busy-ness. Our students are Barbara Revill (N Shields ), Aileen Innes (Heaton), Peter Webster (Marsden Rd), Fiona Preston (Headland ) , Rachel Holland (Portrack), Heather Farrow (not in placement - finishing MA), Charlotte Henard (The Well, Sheffield) and Catherine Tate (Skipton).

Please also pray for prospective students, and those currently considering a call to ministry.
