NBA Prayer Requests

We are asked to pray this week (beginning 14 March 2022) for

the war in Ukraine

Thanksgiving

1 – For the universal condemnation of a Russian invasion of an independent sovereign state

2 – For the widespread perception that this war is a Kremlin war and not a Russian war and that Putin is an evil pariah

3 - For the Russians who are protesting on the streets of Russia against this war

4 – For the courage of President Zelensky and the resilience of the Ukrainian people

Prayer

1 – That a ceasefire may be established and sustained

2 – That a civilian evacuation corridor can be created

3 - That the severe economic sanctions will force Putin to the negotiating table for a peace settlement

4 – That the surrounding countries will be generous in their offer of hospitality to the fleeing refugees

5 - That there may be a speeding conclusion to this war and that all casualties can be kept to a minimum, particularly civilian casualties

6 - That those who have been bereaved may be consoled in their loss and grief and that casualties can be well cared for
