NBA Prayer Requests

We are asked to pray this week (from Sunday 2nd January 2022) for our hopes dreams and fears for the New Year
Rev Paul Revill (Regional Minister for Mission) has composed our prayer
I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year: "Give me a light, that I may tread safely into the unknown."  And he replied:  "Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way."  So I went forth, and finding the Hand of God, trod gladly into the night. And He led me towards the hills and the breaking of day in the lone East.  (Minnie Louise Haskins)

As we begin a fresh year, still living with much uncertainty and anxiety around Covid, the climate and global politics amongst other things, this is a time for reaffirming our trust in God and committing our lives afresh to him.

Ask God to take a stronger hold of your life and your church in 2022, to guide you deeper into the light of His presence and power.
Invite God to lead you into a more wholehearted love for him and dependence upon him.
Ask for fresh vitality and energy in every part of your own life and the life of your church.
Take some time this week to pause and listen to God.
What are God's desires for you this year?
Where is God wanting to work in your life?
What does God want to lead you into doing this year?
 What should your priorities be?
Finally give thanks, for all that has been in 2021 - even the difficult aspects of life, because God has been present and at work in your life through the trials as well as the blessings.
Give thanks for all the significant people who have made a difference to you over the past year.
Give thanks for all the ways in which you've seen God at work.
And give thanks for all the wonderful things which he has yet to do, which will unfold for you in the coming year.
