Giving thanks
Two marriages within the church over the last few months and a baptism planned for the end of October.
An encouraging recent weekend with a team from New Wine, looking at the prophetic and healing gifts.
Prayer for wisdom and guidance
The church is considering how to become more effective as a missional community. This may mean new ways of doing church - please pray for guidance, wisdom and unity as we consider how to move forward.
We are appointing a new manager for our CAP centre, starting later this year. Please give thanks for Bill, who is retiring from this post, and pray for John as he gets ready to start in the role.
Prayer for people
A number of people within the church are facing ongoing challenging situations of poor health, bereavement or other problems - please pray for Christ's love and power to be poured out among us.

As well as blogs we also post regular prayer bulletins from our churches and Association life.

NBA Prayers for 13th October
Give thanks for:
God's faithfulness – especially as we have celebrated it in Harvest services.
The opportunities we have to work together and encourage one another.
The encouraging giving of our churches to support God's work through Home Mission.
The good opportunities that opened up for Darrel and Faith Grice (from Texas) as they ministered in Lithuania as a further expression of our link with Baptists in that country.
Pray for:
The Association's Assembly 'Hope in the Word' on 19th October at Bethany Christian Centre with Lina Andronoviene.
Those who returned to our churches through Back to Church Sunday / The Big Welcome.
New ministers coming into the area: Simon Burin to Enon in Sunderland and Glen Cormack to New Life in Northallerton.
Those serving in the Association Team – especially a newly appointed Regional Minister (hopefully to be announced soon) and Elaine Joy, a P.A to support John.
supplied by Rev John Claydon (Regional Minister, Team Leader & Pastoral)

NBA Prayers for 15th September - Durham Road BC, Gateshead
At Durham Road we have been blessed with a wonderful ministry from different speakers since our minister moved on - give thanks for those who lead our worship and also for the future that God has already prepared for us.
We are just embarking on some Youth Work with a view to helping local schools with assemblies and RE lessons, which in turn will help with Discovery Church which we hold once a month with the aim of contacting parents and children. Pray that both doors and hearts may open through these initiatives.
We are also starting regular Prayer Breakfasts. Pray that food and fellowship at the beginning of the day will lead to a daily life with Christ for those attending.
Harvest will be celebrated on 6th October followed by lunch and our annual Thankoffering. Pray for new and ripening fruit at Durham Road in the year ahead.
